Earthquake Tremors Felt in Delhi, NCR
NEW DELHI: On Sunday, residents of Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) and some other parts of north India experienced tremors due to a magnitude 3.1 earthquake that struck near Faridabad in Haryana. Reports indicate that the earthquake’s epicenter was located 9 kilometres from Faridabad and occurred at a certain depth. Notably, this is the second instance this month where strong earthquake tremors have caused concern in the national capital. Earlier in October, Delhi-NCR and several parts of north India felt significant tremors after Nepal was hit by four earthquakes, with the most potent one registering a magnitude of 6.2 on the Richter Scale on October 3.
